A textile design is not one thing. The same motif has to become a stitch file for an embroidery machine, a color-separated raster for a print head, a card for a jacquard loom, a knitout program for a flat-bed knitting machine — each with its own format, its own constraints, its own idea of what “the design” even is.
Traditionally, that translation is manual, slow, and done separately for every machine. PatternAI collapses it into one step.
Design once
You start with intent — a prompt, or a design picked from what’s trending — and shape it with direct controls: palette, motif, scale, density, border. What you’re editing is a real, parametric design, not a picture of one.
Deliver everywhere
When you confirm, the design is digitized and packaged for every technique at once. Each technique gets a ZIP of the real formats it expects:
- Embroidery — DST, PES, EXP, JEF
- Print — TIFF, PDF, color separations
- Weave — jacquard card formats
- Knit — knitout, machine DAT
- Quilt, embellishment and Pattern cut — their native machine files
The point isn’t the file list. It’s that a designer can hold one idea and hand every factory exactly what it needs — without redrawing the design five times, and without losing anything in translation.
